That’s why it’s incredibly important to seal the surface upon installation. Unfortunately, even sealed concrete will show markings, especially olive oil, red wine, juice, or coffee. Linoleum tends to be a bit more old-fashioned and better suited for retro and mid-century decors while vinyl is more versatile and sophisticated and better suited for modern spaces, especially since it comes in so many different colors and finishes. Both options are affordable and durable. Linoleum flooring is durable and easy to maintain although installation is not that simple and may very well require professional help.

It’s common for the kitchen in such cases to have either a wooden floor with a light color or a black and white checkerboard floor. The monochrome combination is also commonly used for the rest of the décor as well. The main characteristics of this style allows it to be best applied in modern and contemporary kitchens where minimalism is a must. The décor stays interesting and eye-catching through unexpected combinations of colors, textures and shapes or through modern twists added to classical elements.

As for the style, the kitchens, just like the rest of the home, have simple interior decors and it’s visible that things take a turn towards minimalism. Still, the décor remains elegant and somewhat sober. But let’s take a look at a few examples to see exactly how this type of kitchens looks like.

Published at Saturday, November 17th 2018, 03:24:30 AM. Kitchen By Martino Villa. The kitchen is an odd room. It’s a space originally designed for cooking but, with time, it has also become a social space where friends and families spend time together, where they chat while someone is making dinner or where they simply gather to socialize.
