Decorating with black and white does not mean you pick the darkest blacks and absolute whites alone. There are plenty of changes you can bring to this color scheme by simple altering the hue, shade and value of the black or white that you use. Strong grey can replace the black while creamy whites can be used in place of pristine white to fashion a novel look. Though you still need to stick to the overall color scheme, feel free to take some creative liberty here and there to set your kitchen apart from the rest.
A green kitchen backsplash can beautifully add a colorful touch and make your neutral kitchen stand out, and the darker or bolder shade you choose, the more it will stand out. You can choose tiles of various shades: emerald, pale or muted green, dark green or any other shade that you like. Add some touches that echo with your green backsplash, for example, lamps, countertops or some accessories. You can also extend a kitchen backsplash and cover the whole wall or walls with green tiles, this way you’ll add more color and create a strong impression.
Dark grey shades are also very compatible, and you can rock them with almost anything. Dark grey shades are the best one for creating a moody space, which is so popular today, and you can add navy, black and dark green with copper fixtures to get a gorgeous moody space. Dark grey shades can be also used for vintage kitchens with white counters, backsplashes and walls to refresh this darkness – they’ll look stunning! Add metallic handles and fixtures, some eye-catchy tiles for the backsplash and interesting pendant lamps.
